The cost of applying to medical school can vary depending on several factors, including the number of schools you apply to, whether you are applying to schools within your state of residence or out-of-state schools
Application for medical school (AMCAS): $170 initial fee + $40 for each additional school (in addition to this fee, many medical schools also require a secondary application (additional fees apply)

MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) Examination: $320

Public School (state resident): $30,000 to $45,000

Public School (non-state resident): $50,000 to $75,000

Private School (state resident): $50,000 to $70,000+

Private School (non-state resident): $62,230

Step 1 Exam: $645

Step 2 CK Exam: $645

Step 2 CS Exam: $1,300

Residency Interviews: It’s recommended to budget money for interview-related expenses.(Travel, meals, interview attire)

 

Residency is also an expense to a future doctor. In fact, there are multiple costs:

  • Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS): $99 (application fee for up to 10 residency programs)
  • National Residency Matching Program (NRMP): $85 (can rank up to 20 residency programs)
  • USMLE/COMLEX USA Transcript fee: $80
  • Interviews can range from as little as $1,000 to as much as $11,580; the median cost is reported to be about $4,000.

  • Donate supplies or services for students.
  • Make a monetary donation to support scholarships, bridge funding, networking events, and educational programs for the students.
  • Partner with us to become a catalyst and ignite a brighter future for a disadvantaged youth of color.
