Meet Our Leadership
PRESIDENT
Diane R. Williams, MD
Dr. Williams earned her chemistry degree at Lincoln University and her medical degree from Penn State. She trained in pediatrics at Boston City Hospital and the University of Rochester, serving six months as Chief Resident. Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is also a Clinical Instructor at the University of Rochester.

VICE PRESIDENT
Christine Coward, MD
Dr. Coward, Associate Professor at the University of Rochester Flaum Eye Institute, specializes in cataract surgery, particularly in patients with glaucoma. Trained at SUNY Downstate, New York Medical College, and Southern California Glaucoma Consultants, she is Board Certified and active in leading ophthalmology societies. Passionate about education and equity, she mentors residents, medical students, and minority youth while treating cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, dry eye, ocular infections, refractive error, and more.

TREASUERER
Bradley Turner, MD, MPH, MHA
Dr. Turner is board certified in Pathology and Family Medicine, serving on breast and gynecologic pathology subspecialty services at URMC. He provides pathology at Highland and Strong Memorial Hospitals and urgent care in Rochester. Active in health equity, he serves on boards including the Black Physicians Network, mentors youth, and participates in Sigma Pi Phi. Influenced by mentors and inspired by Benjamin Franklin’s words, he balances professional impact with family, music, sports, and reading.

COMMUNITY SERVICE CHAIR
Sasha Nelson, MD
Dr. Nelson strives to provide quality and comprehensive care to her patients. She believes in fostering lasting relationships with her patients. She provides care to individuals of all ages.
